Oak Park offers education at every level from preschool to Oak Park and River Forest High School, as well as two institutions of higher learning, Concordia and Dominican University, located in neighboring River Forest.
The public elementary school district enrolls students at 8 elementary schools and two middle schools with a student/teacher ration of 20 to 1. 66% of the teachers hold a Master’s degree or higher.
At Oak Park and River Forest High School, a comprehensive curriculum – six foreign languages, numerous course offerings, and 40 extra curricular clubs – enables students to excel. Student/teacher ration is 17.5 to 1; 83% of the faculty have a Master’s degree while 55% have earned 30 hours or more beyond Master.
