The Housing Center also supports the annual Wright Ride, where bike riders can choose from 10, 30, 50 and 72 mile route options. The Wright Ride also includes a 10 mile architectural route, with multiple stops and commentary provided by guides. The route includes Frank Lloyd Wright homes and other interesting architectural sites. This year’s ride takes place on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Novice, casual cyclist or experienced long distance riders are welcome. This is a family-friendly event.

The Village of Oak Park is designated a gold community in the SolSmart program funded by the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative. This program helps local governments reduce barriers to solar energy growth and makes it easier for homes and businesses to go solar.
